Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diziz Sparta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Tomioka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomioka is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fly Away. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Tomioka.
Tomioka wants to clinch.
Sparta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tomioka but Tomioka pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sparta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tomioka swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sparta tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Tomioka tries to bum rush Sparta with a series of wild strikes but Sparta uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sparta shoots in and drives through. Tomioka sprawls well.
Tomioka looks to land a combination but Sparta avoids it well.
Sparta looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Tomioka knocks Sparta to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Tomioka stands up and beckons Sparta to his feet.
Oh Sparta is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tomioka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sparta seems to have got his legs back now.

Sparta ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sparta no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Sparta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tomioka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sparta is tightening it up a little... Tomioka has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tomioka reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tomioka taps out! nice BJJ there by Sparta!
