The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karalahti closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jarvela can't do much from the bottom here.
Karalahti connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jarvela some visible discomfort.
Karalahti content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Karalahti is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jarvela looks calm but he's in trouble here. Karalahti gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jarvela is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Karalahti lets go of the hold and Jarvela can pop his arm back in it's socket.
