Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Guidotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ippo makunouchi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

makunouchi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Guidotti is trying to control makunouchi's posture but makunouchi avoids it.
makunouchi trying to control the action but Guidotti is working from the bottom.
makunouchi tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Guidotti holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

makunouchi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Guidotti tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but makunouchi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Guidotti can't do much from the bottom here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
makunouchi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
makunouchi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Guidotti as he jumps to the side.

Guidotti closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guidotti wants to lay and pray for a moment but makunouchi keeps working.
Guidotti is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because makunouchi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
makunouchi is controlling Guidotti's trapped leg to prevent Guidotti from advancing to side control.

makunouchi is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Guidotti locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! makunouchi is forced to tap!
