Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruud Gullit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morgan Hilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gullit comes into the arena with We Will Rock You! blaring out of the sound system. Morgan Hilton has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruud Gullit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Morgan Hilton!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilton digs a good body shot into Gullit's ribs.
Gullit walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gullit moves in looking to clinch but Hilton pushes him off.
Hilton tries to bum rush Gullit with a series of wild strikes but Gullit uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gullit throws a sloppy head kick
and Hilton counters with a stiff right hand.
Hilton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gullit dodges the punch combination from Hilton.
Hilton connects with a crisp jab.

Hilton lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Ruud Gullit has been cut.
Hilton throws a nice looking combination but Gullit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hilton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hilton misses with a series of wild punches.

Gullit fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hilton avoids it really well and circles away.
Hilton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gullit.

Hilton ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gullit with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hilton to score with a decent uppercut.
A decent looking cross lands there for Hilton.
Hilton scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hilton throws a series of punches but Gullit moves out of range.
Hilton scores with a body shot.
Hilton misses with the combination.
Gullit shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hilton pinned against the ropes. Hilton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Gullit counters with a thumping low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gullit throws and elbow that misses. Hilton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gullit's guard. Nice move by Hilton!

Gullit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gullit throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Gullit has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hilton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gullit.
Gullit tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hilton presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Gullit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gullit wants to control but Hilton is having none of it.
Gullit is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gullit throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No joy there for Hilton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hilton lands with an uppercut that bounces Gullit off the ropes and back into rage.
Gullit has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gullit there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gullit takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Morgan Hilton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hilton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
