Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between beej dem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuo Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think dem might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to born unknown. Chiba has chosen Chop Suey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiba dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chiba moves away from the strike by dem.
dem throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from dem. Chiba does a little dance to reset his feet.
dem falls off balance throwing a combination
and Chiba counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

dem fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chiba, pushing him back against the cage.

dem manages to break the clinch.
dem throws the left hand but Chiba avoids the punch easily.
dem takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chiba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Chiba counters with a series of strikes. dem will be more careful next time no doubt.

Chiba tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but dem was well out of range. Poor timing from Chiba.

and Chiba counters with a right hand to the body.

dem tries to bum rush Chiba with a series of wild strikes but Chiba uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like beej dem has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

dem is looking to wear down Chiba with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Oh dem is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

dem throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

dem lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Nice body punch from dem - that landed with a thud.
dem is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Chiba is defending well for now.

dem throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Chiba.
dem cracks Chiba with an open hand slap.
beej dem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chiba looks to land a left hand but dem moved out of range nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

dem fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chiba manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

dem's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chiba connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! dem scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chiba drops dem with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but dem looks back up at him and smiles so Chiba waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
dem dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
dem gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Chiba gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
