Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zaur Gubiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Casso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zaur Gubiev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Casso!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casso will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Casso uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gubiev.
Casso has a takedown stuffed.
Casso works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Casso instigates a clinch.
Gubiev could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gubiev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Casso is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Casso has picked Gubiev up - he's going for a ride! Casso dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Casso is in close to Gubiev's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Casso cracks Gubiev with a solid left hand.
Casso is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gubiev is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gubiev looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gubiev wants to work for an arm triangle but Casso is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Gubiev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Casso is just riding it out for now. Gubiev eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zaur Gubiev will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Casso really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gubiev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gubiev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gubiev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gubiev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Casso, who protects the arm well.

Casso tries to bench press Gubiev off him but Gubiev keeps the position.

Gubiev is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Casso has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gubiev working away.
Casso is looking to reverse the position.

Gubiev looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Casso tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gubiev wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Gubiev is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Casso looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gubiev gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Casso is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gubiev lets go of the hold and Casso can pop his arm back in it's socket.
