Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rey Bautista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rey Bautista!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bautista misses with a takedown

and Henderson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Bautista tries to get to full guard but Henderson has control of the leg.

Henderson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bautista has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Henderson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Henderson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bautista's face.

Henderson has hold of Bautista's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bautista manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Henderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Henderson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Henderson has Bautista pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bautista manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Henderson jumps guard but Bautista stands there with Henderson around his waist. Henderson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bautista bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bautista winds up and cracks Henderson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Bautista wants to control from the top but Henderson keeps moving.
Bautista throws a big right hand that misses.
Henderson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bautista is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bautista wanted to stand there but Henderson had control of the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rey Bautista.
Bautista looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Henderson is fending him off so far but Bautista persists. Nope, Henderson circles away and we're back to standing.
