Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Takashi Matsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johny Jones has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Matsui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johny Jones!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones swinging wildly here.
Matsui shoots in but no luck this time.
Matsui with a lazy takedown attempt

so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Matsui might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Matsui pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
Jones sitting in guard here, content to control.

Matsui has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Matsui being controlled here, momentarily.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Matsui gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Matsui drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matsui jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Matsui stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Matsui forces his way into half guard.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones is trying to get back to full guard.
Jones won't allow Matsui to pass to mount.
Matsui moves nicely into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones wants to control but Matsui postures up.
Jones is trying to get back to half guard.

Matsui has an Americana. Jones didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Matsui is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Matsui hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
