The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malkowski looking to score a takedown here. Bongo is defending well but Malkowski drives through and ends up in Bongo's guard.
Bongo wants to sweep but no luck.

Malkowski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
It looks like Malkowski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Malkowski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Bongo shoots for a double leg takedown but Malkowski sprawls well. He's pushed Bongo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
