Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Snerve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damien Snerve has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaron Witt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damien Snerve!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Witt fails in his attempt to clinch.

Witt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Witt is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Witt trying to control the position but Snerve is working away.
Snerve is looking to reverse the position.
Snerve sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Witt missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Witt wants to take a breather but Snerve is having none of it.
Witt thows a huge punch but Snerve dodges it nicely.
Witt misses with a head shot. Snerve uses the momentum to regain guard.
Witt trying to control but Snerve is working from the bottom.
Witt is pushing down on Snerve's leg trying to pass to half guard. Snerve is fighting to maintain full guard but Witt has managed to sneak the leg through.

Witt wants to pass to mount but Snerve is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snerve is looking to control Witt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snerve avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Witt in particular looking to stall.
Snerve is staying active underneath Witt, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Snerve has hold of Witt's hands but Witt slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Witt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Snerve's head.

Snerve wants to improve his position but Witt is controlling well.

Witt is looking to take a break and control but Snerve is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Witt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Witt is trying to control. Snerve wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Snerve moves into full guard.
Witt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Witt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Snerve is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Witt, into his guard.
Snerve stands up over Witt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Snerve makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Witt looking for a sweep. Not yet Witt, not yet.
Snerve stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Witt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Witt wants to sweep here but Snerve controlling him for the moment.
Witt is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Witt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Snerve doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Snerve manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Snerve throws a strike but Witt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Snerve shoots for a double leg takedown but Witt sprawls well. He's pushed Snerve's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Witt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Snerve paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Witt throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Witt is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Witt wants to control the position but Snerve says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Witt tries to roll over but Snerve keeps him under control.

Snerve wants to lay and pray for a moment but Witt keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Damien Snerve.
Snerve has a takedown stuffed.
Witt tries to clinch up but Snerve circles away and keeps his distance.
Witt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Snerve paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Snerve circles away from the clinch attempt.
Snerve bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Witt's head backwards.
Witt slaps away a takedown attempt from Snerve, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Witt tries to clinch but Snerve moves out of range.
Snerve keeps the fight on the outside.
Snerve throws a right and a left that both miss.
Snerve keeps the fight on the outside.
Snerve avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Witt has closed the distance and engaged Snerve in a clinch.

Witt is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Snerve can't fight it off and eventually Witt manages to take the fight to the floor. Snerve looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Aaron Witt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Snerve is trying to control the position but Witt postures up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Snerve takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Witt is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Snerve.
Snerve misses with a wild combination.

Snerve feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Witt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Damien Snerve has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aaron Witt.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Witt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
