Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James The Hit Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Meisner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James The Hit Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Meisner!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Hit Man fails with a takedown attempt.

Meisner shoots in and bounces The Hit Man off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meisner controls from within his opponent's guard.
The Hit Man will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The Hit Man tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Meisner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Meisner won't allow The Hit Man to sweep him here.

Meisner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Hit Man looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The Hit Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meisner on the ground.
The Hit Man takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Meisner decides to stand back up. Meisner steps back and let's The Hit Man get back to his feet.

The Hit Man gets tackled into the cage by Meisner. Meisner maintains the clinch.

Meisner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Meisner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Meisner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The Hit Man tries to close the distance and clinch up but Meisner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The Hit Man checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Meisner scoring well with a low kick there.
The Hit Man is breathing heavily.
Meisner throws a right hand that The Hit Man ducks under and follows up with a left that The Hit Man also avoids with ease.
James Meisner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Hit Man wants to clinch.
A solid body kick from Meisner.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Meisner drives through with a takedown into guard.

Meisner stands and steps away. The Hit Man gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Meisner throws a series of punches but The Hit Man avoids them all with ease.
Meisner stuffs the takedown attempt from The Hit Man. The Hit Man gets slowly back to his feet.

Meisner closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Meisner gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

The Hit Man clinches.
Meisner tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The Hit Man breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The Hit Man throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Meisner misses with the combination.
The Hit Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Meisner throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The Hit Man tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Meisner is in The Hit Man's guard.

The Hit Man is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Meisner's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Meisner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The Hit Man keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Meisner dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


The Hit Man shoots and misses

and Meisner counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Meisner.
Meisner tries to break free but The Hit Man pushes him back against the cage.

Meisner gets control of The Hit Man's arms and successfully pulls guard. Meisner will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The Hit Man tries to free his leg and advance position but Meisner is retaining full guard.
The Hit Man has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Meisner has a closed guard, preventing The Hit Man from standing up.
Meisner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Hit Man manages to get himself to full guard.
The Hit Man wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Meisner manages to pass to side control.

Meisner takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Meisner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The Hit Man is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Meisner scores with a couple of nice shots.

Meisner gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

The Hit Man is looking to improve his position.
Meisner not doing much here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The Hit Man looks for a takedown but Meisner sprawls well.

Meisner shoots in looking for a takedown but The Hit Man manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Meisner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The Hit Man shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meisner pinned against the cage. Meisner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James The Hit Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - The Hit Man looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Meisner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The Hit Man is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on The Hit Man's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The Hit Man tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Meisner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

James Meisner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! The Hit Man's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Meisner counters with a three punch combo that has The Hit Man backing up. The Hit Man nods at Meisner to acknowledge the strikes.
The Hit Man connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

The Hit Man jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Meisner walks away with a smile on his face. The Hit Man gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Meisner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but The Hit Man swivels and escapes.
Meisner moves in looking to clinch but The Hit Man pushes him off.
Meisner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The Hit Man throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meisner's waist but Meisner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Hit Man off to one side.

James Meisner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Meisner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
