The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cudi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Einemo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Einemo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Cudi throwing shots but Einemo is blocking nicely.
Cudi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Cudi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Einemo actively working from the bottom here.
Einemo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Cudi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Einemo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cudi is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Einemo won't allow Cudi to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Einemo is looking to escape.
Cudi frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Einemo really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Cudi landing strikes from the mount and Einemo is in trouble!
