Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Bader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesus Christ!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader lands a glancing blow to the side of Christ's head.

Bader shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Christ manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Christ utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Christ wants to control the position but Bader says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Christ pushes Bader off looking to stand but Bader dives back in and keeps control.
Bader thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Christ's head.
Christ wants to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Christ can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bader has gone for a leg lock! Christ slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bader's guard.

Bader is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Bader obliges.

Bader is working for takedown but Christ is calmly controlling the position for now.

Christ pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Bader counters with a single leg into guard. Christ didn't expect that.

Christ manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bader manages to get himself to full guard.
Bader wants to sweep here but Christ controlling him for the moment.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Christ enables Bader to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Christ manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bader thows a huge punch but Christ dodges it nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Bader counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bader.
Bader is pushing down on Christ's leg trying to pass to half guard. Christ is fighting to maintain full guard but Bader has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Bader dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bader shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Christ counters with a one-two to the body.
Christ looks to land a left hand but Bader moved out of range nicely.
Christ looks for a takedown but Bader sprawls well.
Christ doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Bader shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Christ's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Christ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bader. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bader throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Bader has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Christ manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Christ tries to get to full guard but Bader has control of the leg.
Bader throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Christ is trying to stand back up but Bader is controlling him

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
