Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Sander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Halperin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halperin has chosen Jimmy Buffet - Margaritaville as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Sander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Halperin!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halperin moves out of range of the body kick from Sander.
Sander lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Halperin fails with a takedown attempt.
Sander looks to throw the jab but Halperin is out of range.
Halperin looks to clinch
and Sander counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Sander counters with a straight right hand.
Tommy Sander is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sander misses with a hook.
Halperin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sander.
Sander rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Halperin moves into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Sander's face as he tries to break the clinch.

It looks like Tommy Sander has been cut.
Sander has a couple of punches blocked by Halperin.

Sander wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Halperin has him pressed against the cage.

Sander cracks Halperin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and Halperin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Halperin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sander uses from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

and Sander counters with a three punch combo that has Halperin backing up. Halperin nods at Sander to acknowledge the strikes.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sander, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
