The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kondou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but dos Nikkos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kondou pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces dos Nikkos back to the cage. Kondou follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Kondou swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kondou scores with a shot to the body.
dos Nikkos with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kondou counters with a straight right hand.
Kondou throws a jab but it's blocked by dos Nikkos.
dos Nikkos keeps the fight on the outside.
dos Nikkos doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kondou counters with a nice uppercut.

dos Nikkos swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kondou is now in dos Nikkos's guard. A big mistake from dos Nikkos there, giving up the dominant position!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now dos Nikkos is on top in guard.
dos Nikkos stands and throws Kondou's legs to the side, diving into side control.
dos Nikkos tries to move to mount but Kondou blocks the move with his legs.
Kondou tries to bench press dos Nikkos off him but dos Nikkos keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

dos Nikkos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kondou keeps working.

dos Nikkos tries for a kimura but Kondou is defending well.

dos Nikkos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kondou, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

dos Nikkos is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kondou is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

dos Nikkos jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kondou manages to avoid the submission attempt.
