Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Dunsmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Mont Alvernne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunsmore comes into the arena with It's Amazing by Kanye West blaring out of the sound system. Brian Mont Alvernne has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nick Dunsmore's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Dunsmore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Mont Alvernne! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunsmore misses with a takedown attempt - Mont Alvernne sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dunsmore fails to land the takedown. A swing and a miss from Mont Alvernne. Dunsmore shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dunsmore lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dunsmore winds up and cracks Mont Alvernne with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Dunsmore thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Dunsmore takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Mont Alvernne working the ground and pound. Dunsmore manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Mont Alvernne is looking for a sweep. Dunsmore is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mont Alvernne trying to control from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dunsmore with the ground and pound but Mont Alvernne uses the opportunity to regain guard. Dunsmore missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Dunsmore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mont Alvernne controls Dunsmore momentarily but Dunsmore frees himself. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brian Mont Alvernne will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Dunsmore will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Good leg kick by Mont Alvernne there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dunsmore fails with the takedown and Mont Alvernne makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Dunsmore really felt that one! Mont Alvernne throws a sloppy head kick so Dunsmore counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mont Alvernne scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mont Alvernne buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dunsmore tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mont Alvernne sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dunsmore somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Dunsmore. That's going to take a lot out of him. A decent looking body kick lands there for Mont Alvernne. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunsmore with a lazy takedown attempt and Mont Alvernne counters with an outside leg kick.
Mont Alvernne fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dunsmore has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A combination from Mont Alvernne does no damage. Mont Alvernne lands with a straight right. Dunsmore didn't see that one coming. Mont Alvernne lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Dunsmore takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mont Alvernne connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A jab from Mont Alvernne finds it's way through Dunsmore's defenses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mont Alvernne lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Dunsmore. Mont Alvernne lands a shoulder strike. Mont Alvernne scores with an uppercut up the middle. Oh Dunsmore is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dunsmore drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mont Alvernne gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mont Alvernne working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Mont Alvernne dips a shoulder and cracks Dunsmore with a mighty uppercut! Dunsmore falls back against the cage and Mont Alvernne unloads with a barrage of strikes! Dunsmore is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Mont Alvernne screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
