Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nicholas Alderweireld!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alderweireld tries to keep at a distance but Serr has taken the fight into the clinch.
Alderweireld is trying to break the clinch but Serr is controlling him.
Serr is stalling here.

Serr gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Alderweireld regains guard.

Serr decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Serr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Serr shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Serr was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Serr postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alderweireld looks a forlorn figure.

Serr tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Serr sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dan Serr just wasn't active enough.
Alderweireld circles away from the clinch attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nicholas Alderweireld showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
