The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a left and a right that both miss
and Riven counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Riven scores with a body shot.
Riven tests Burns's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Riven misses with a few strikes there.
Burns throws a combination that misses
letting Riven counter with a right hand.
Riven slips a jab and a cross from Burns.
Burns throws a left and a right that both miss
and Riven counters with a good low kick that Burns was not able to check.
Burns is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riven throws a quick inside leg kick.

Riven gets a clinch.

Riven has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Burns clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Riven has good solid back control here.

Riven looking to break Burns's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Burns remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Riven will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Burns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riven on the ground.

Riven is working for a rear naked choke. Burns is not defending it well and Riven has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Burns refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Burns's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
