Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barec Volevoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cade McCrary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volevoi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nam ne strashen volk. Cade McCrary has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

letting McCrary counter with a right hand.

McCrary lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Volevoi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McCrary is holding Volevoi down, trying to stall.

Volevoi cracks McCrary with a big right hand but McCrary just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Volevoi decides to stand up, so the ref orders McCrary to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McCrary punishes Volevoi's body with a nice straight punch.
Barec Volevoi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Volevoi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Volevoi is trying hard to land a takedown here. McCrary sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Volevoi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McCrary but McCrary pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McCrary fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Volevoi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and McCrary makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Volevoi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McCrary connects with a body shot.

McCrary dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Volevoi has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McCrary scores with a crisp jab that stopped Volevoi in his tracks.
Volevoi thows a leg kick but McCrary checks it
letting McCrary counter with a right hand.
Volevoi shoots for a double leg takedown but McCrary sprawls well. He's pushed Volevoi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barec Volevoi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McCrary wants to control but Volevoi is having none of it.

McCrary is wriggling around trying to escape.
Volevoi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Barec Volevoi will probably get the nod.

That's time! Volevoi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cade McCrary's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
