PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silencer Ducanny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matic Ocvirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ducanny comes to the cage accompanied by ACDC Born To Be Wild. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Ocvirk. Those never looked like landing.
Ocvirk fails with the takedown

and Ducanny counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ocvirk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ocvirk perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ocvirk tries to stand and escape but Ducanny is controlling the position.
Ocvirk wants to pass the guard but Ducanny is defending well.

Ocvirk stands up and beckons Ducanny to join him on the feet.

Ocvirk fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ducanny , pushing him back against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ocvirk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Silencer Ducanny has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ocvirk slaps away a takedown attempt from Ducanny , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ducanny is breathing heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Matic Ocvirk.

Ducanny decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ocvirk tries to get to full guard but Ducanny has control of the leg.
Ducanny is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Ocvirk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ducanny 's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ocvirk wants to control but Ducanny postures up.
Ocvirk is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Silencer Ducanny overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ducanny is not content to let Ocvirk control the position.
Ocvirk might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ducanny kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Ocvirk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ducanny does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
It looks like Ocvirk is going to stand back up.
Ducanny tries to roll over but Ocvirk keeps him under control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matic Ocvirk was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Ocvirk throws a right and a left that Ducanny avoids nicely.
