The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavanati throws the kick towards the body but Madeiros avoids it.
Pavanati throws a low kick but Madeiros avoids it.

Pavanati tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Pavanati pivots, looking for a leg kick but Madeiros is out of range and Pavanati settles back down.
Pavanati is looking to slow Madeiros down with leg kicks.
Madeiros takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pavanati feints and then cracks Madeiros's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Madeiros down.

Pavanati tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Madeiros paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Matteo Pavanati is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

It looks like Duarte Madeiros has been cut.

Madeiros chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pavanati can pounce on him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Madeiros fails with the takedown
and Pavanati counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Madeiros is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Pavanati throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pavanati fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Madeiros.
Madeiros takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Good leg kick by Pavanati there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That kick from Pavanati tenderised Madeiros's leg. Madeiros is trying to keep his angry face on.
Pavanati connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Pavanati moves in looking to clinch but Madeiros pushes him off.

Pavanati lands a big head kick that sends Madeiros tumbling to the mat! Pavanati takes a step backwards and waves Madeiros back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Madeiros is rocked!
Madeiros drops his hands momentarily and Pavanati needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Madeiros just on the top of the head. Madeiros drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Madeiros - he's done!
