Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Hentz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Hentz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Hudson!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hentz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hentz tries for a takedown but Hudson circles away easily

and Hudson counters with a shoot takedown. Hentz fights it but they end up in guard.
Hentz controls Hudson momentarily but Hudson frees himself.

Hudson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hudson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hudson won't allow Hentz to sweep him here.

Hudson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hentz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hentz has escaped and now he's on top!
Hentz's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Hudson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hentz wants to control from the top but Hudson keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Robert Hentz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Hentz darts in and clinches Hudson up against the cage.

Hudson gets control of Hentz's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hudson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hentz stays in close to Hudson's body and controls the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hudson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hentz wants to control from the top but Hudson keeps moving.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We're going to have a standup here because Robert Hentz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hudson dodges the punch combination from Hentz.
Hentz fails with an attempt to clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hentz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Hudson counters with a shoot takedown. Hentz fights it but they end up in guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Hudson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hentz dives on top into guard.
Hentz trying to control but Hudson is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Hudson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Hentz throws a one two combo.

Hentz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hudson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hentz is looking to take a break and control but Hudson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hentz wants to control for a moment but Hudson uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Hentz works his foot free and advances to mount.

Hentz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hudson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hudson and Hentz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Hentz is looking to take a break and control but Hudson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hudson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hentz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hudson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hentz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hudson, into his guard.
Hentz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hentz wants to control from the top but Hudson keeps moving.
Hentz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Robert Hentz wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Hentz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hudson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hentz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert Hentz dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Hudson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hentz!
Hentz wants to control but Hudson is having none of it.
Hentz is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Hentz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Hudson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Hentz tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hudson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hentz is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hentz and Hudson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Hudson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hudson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hudson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hudson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
James Hudson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hentz is looking to reverse the position.

Hudson is trying to get an arm triangle but Hentz is defending well.
Hentz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hudson off and has taken his back!

Hentz wants to control the position but Hudson frees himself and scrambles - Hentz manages to regain control in side control.

Hentz swings around for an armbar but Hudson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hentz's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hudson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hentz dives on top into guard.
Hentz wants to control from the top but Hudson keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Hudson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hudson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
