Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cheesy Poof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poof moves out of range of the strikes.
Poof lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Saukko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Saukko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Saukko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Poof can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Saukko controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poof is looking to stand up but Saukko isn't so interested in that idea.
Saukko slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The strikes coming from Saukko are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Poof knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saukko on the ground.

Poof pushes Saukko away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Saukko gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Saukko remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Saukko wants to control but Poof is keeping him busy.

Saukko is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Saukko extends the arm and Poof is forced to tap!
