Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mini Clubman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pietro Rava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rava has chosen Blue October - Drilled a Wire through my cheek as his entrance music. Mini Clubman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rava manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Clubman on his heels. He'll look to pass Clubman's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Rava working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Clubman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rava is one step ahead there.
Clubman trying to keep a closed guard but Rava is proving a slippery customer.
Clubman throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rava escapes and throws Clubman's legs to the side, diving into side control!

and Rava counters with an inside leg kick.

Clubman has managed to clinch.
Rava manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Clubman is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Rava gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Rava pushes Clubman back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rava's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Rava tries to stall but Clubman uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Clubman fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A left hand lands to the body for Clubman.
Rava lands a body shot in the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Clubman tries to pull guard but Rava holds him up against the ropes and eventually Clubman drops back down to his feet.
Clubman is breathing heavily.

Rava works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Clubman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rava lands an elbow that stopped Clubman in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Mini Clubman has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rava gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Rava unloads a knee to the mid-section. Clubman lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Rava will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Clubman up against the ropes.
Rava continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Clubman gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Rava tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rava wants to stand up but Clubman is controlling him.
Clubman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rava is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rava has escaped and now he's on top!
Clubman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rava stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Clubman throws up his legs and catches Rava in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Rava tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Clubman! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mini Clubman!
