Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Trumble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trumble has chosen Trumble loves To Kick it as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Sol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Derek Trumble!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trumble tries to close the distance and clinch but Sol swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sol is defended easily by Trumble.
Trumble slaps away a takedown attempt from Sol, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sol misses with a low kick as Trumble jumps back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sol shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Trumble counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Trumble moves to clinch but Sol breaks away
and Sol counters with a good low kick that Trumble was not able to check.

Trumble throws a head kick that misses.

Trumble is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Trumble scores with a shot to the side of Sol's head.
Trumble jumps guard but Sol stands there with Trumble around his waist. Trumble gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trumble tries to avoid it but Sol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trumble to the ground. Trumble escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Sol tries to keep at a distance but Trumble has taken the fight into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Trumble scores with a nice short uppercut.

Trumble's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sol shoots in for a double leg but Trumble sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Trumble throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Sol decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trumble's guard.

Sol shoots for a double leg takedown but Trumble sprawls well. He's pushed Sol's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Viktor Sol.
I think Sol has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
