Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harry Kalas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Paulson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalas comes into the arena with shut em down blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harry Kalas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Paulson!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalas pushes Paulson up against the cage in a clinch.
Paulson creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Paulson tries to score a body lock takedown but Kalas shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Paulson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kalas defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kalas is looking to improve his position but Paulson isn't that keen on the idea.

Paulson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kalas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Paulson has managed to get both his arms back between Kalas's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Paulson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Paulson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kalas on the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kalas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Paulson defends it nicely.

Paul Paulson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
