Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zorrito Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zorrito Falcon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christian Alkofer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Alkofer enables Falcon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alkofer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Falcon tries to free his leg and advance position but Alkofer is retaining full guard.
Falcon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Falcon has knee on belly momentarily but Alkofer bucks him off and regains half guard.
Falcon is looking to take a break and control but Alkofer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Falcon shoots and misses

Alkofer has the hooks in. Falcon is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Alkofer lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

You can see the frustration on Falcon's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Falcon manages to reverse the position and now he's in Alkofer's guard. Nice work there by Falcon.

Falcon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alkofer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Falcon has Alkofer in his guard.

Alkofer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Christian Alkofer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Alkofer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Falcon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Let's hope that Alkofer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alkofer connects with a nice short shot to Falcon's temple.

Well Alkofer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
