The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyon misses with a few strikes there.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Buffet!

Lyon drives through and clinches with Buffet against the cage.
Buffet swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Lyon trying to land knees to the body.
Buffet is trying to stall.
Lyon lands an elbow inside that Buffet shrugs off.

It looks like Richolas Buffet has been cut.

Lyon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Buffet connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Lyon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Buffet's waist but Buffet gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lyon off to one side.
Lyon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Buffet makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lyon moves in looking to clinch but Buffet pushes him off.
Lyon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Buffet paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Buffet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Buffet avoids the head kick by Lyon.
Buffet digs a good hook to Lyon's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Buffet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lyon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Buffet moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lyon takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Lyon is breathing heavily.
Buffet closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Brandon Lyon has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Good standup being displayed there by Buffet as he connects with a hook.

Buffet drops Lyon with a right and a left! Buffet comes rushing in but Lyon regains his composure and manages to keep Buffet in guard.

Lyon is rocked!
Buffet trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lyon's guard.
Oh Lyon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lyon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Buffet tries to stand but Lyon is controlling from the bottom.
Lyon seems to have got his legs back now.

Lyon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Buffet frees his head nicely. Oh but Lyon has switched to an armbar! Buffet is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
