Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes to the cage accompanied by Give My Bullet Back. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Chris Maia enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia tries to clinch
and Li counters with a nice double leg into side control. Maia won't be happy with that.
Maia is trying to get back to half guard.

Li drops back looking for a leg! Maia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maia manages to kick Li off! Li jumps back into Maia's guard.

Maia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Li drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Li jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Li stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maia swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Li throws and elbow that misses. Maia uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Li's guard. Nice move by Maia!

Li has control of Maia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Maia regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that James Li will probably get the nod.
