Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Alan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Polo comes to the cage accompanied by Mind, Body, & Soul. Alan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fucking Hostile by Pantera. James Alan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Alan misses.

Polo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Alan wants to sweep but no luck.
Polo tries to stand but Alan is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Polo is one step ahead there.
Alan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Polo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Alan has his foot on Polo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Polo works his way back into a safe position though.

Alan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Polo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Marco Polo has been cut.

Polo looks to land a combination but Alan avoids it well.

Polo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alan did well to prevent Polo getting side control.

Polo is just content to waste time from the top position. Alan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
