Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milo Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles Myrmidon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myrmidon throws a jab but it's blocked by Hansen.
Hansen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hansen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Myrmidon wants to clinch

and Hansen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Myrmidon has Hansen pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Achilles Myrmidon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Hansen dodges the punch combination from Myrmidon.
The fighters circling - Myrmidon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Myrmidon takes a swing at Hansen's ribcage but misses.

and Hansen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Myrmidon's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Myrmidon wants to stand and escape but Hansen is having none of it.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Myrmidon is looking for a triangle but Hansen pushes his legs off easily.

We're going to have a standup here because Milo Hansen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Myrmidon counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Achilles Myrmidon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hansen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Myrmidon jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Myrmidon misses with a straight right.

Myrmidon dives in and scores a takedown into Hansen's guard.

Myrmidon drops back looking for a leg! Hansen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hansen manages to kick Myrmidon off! Myrmidon jumps back into Hansen's guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Myrmidon throws a big shot that misses.
Myrmidon swings for the body but Hansen moves out of range.
Myrmidon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Myrmidon thows a body shot but no joy.
Myrmidon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Myrmidon jabs Hansen to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Myrmidon. Hansen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Myrmidon lands a slapping body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Myrmidon.
Myrmidon just misses with a punch to the body.

Oooooh!!! Myrmidon has knocked Hansen down with a huge combo! Myrmidon steps away and waves a wobbly Hansen back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Hansen is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Myrmidon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Myrmidon lands a nice shot to the body.
Hansen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Myrmidon.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Myrmidon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hansen.

Milo Hansen's cut is getting worse.
Hansen moves out of range of the strikes.

Myrmidon sends Hansen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Myrmidon is motioning to the referee to let Hansen up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Hansen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hansen is holding his hands too far apart here. Myrmidon throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Hansen is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
