Young kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Scorpions - The Zoo. Thompson has chosen Clubbed to Death as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young circles away from the clinch attempt
and Young counters with a nice body kick.
Nice shot lands for Thompson.
Thompson looks to clinch
and Young counters with a leg kick.
Thompson misses with a hook to the body
and Young counters with a body kick.
Young lands a nice shot to the body.
Young fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Thompson.
Thompson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Young counters with a good low kick that Thompson was not able to check.
Young connects with a good right hand that stumbles Thompson. Thompson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Young bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Young counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thompson thinking.

Thompson misses with a hook
and Young counters with a nice body kick.
Thompson looks gassed!
Thompson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Young feints and then cracks Thompson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thompson down.
Young pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Young, right into the meat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thompson throws an off balance right hand
and Young counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Young throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Thompson.
James Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Young lands a front kick.
Thompson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Young throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Thompson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Thompson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Thompson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Young throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Thompson.
