PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Torre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Punk rock 101. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Torre!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Torre pushes him off.
Torre circles away from the clinch attempt.

Torre closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard.
Torre stalling.
Torre is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Torre uses his free foot to push down on Jones's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jones.
Torre has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torre loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Jones scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Torre land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Torre stands and salutes the crowd.
