PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Foxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foxx comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eye of the tiger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Foxx!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kong fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Foxx to the ground. Kong is now in Foxx's guard.
Foxx wants to stand but Kong is controlling the position.
Kong trying to control the position from guard on top but Foxx is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Foxx not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. King Kong wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Foxx forces Kong back against the cage and clinches.

Foxx escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Foxx slips a jab and a cross from Kong.

Foxx ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kong moves away.
Foxx pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kong scores a takedown into full mount!

Kong moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Foxx has worked his arm free - good work by Foxx!

Kong is trying to get an arm triangle but Foxx is defending well.
Kong wants to control but Foxx is keeping him busy.

Kong wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Foxx, who protects the arm well.

Kong is working to tighten is grip on Foxx's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Foxx has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kong is really squeezing tight and eventually Foxx passes out! Kong breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
