The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNutter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ellis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McNutter counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A bone on bone clash there as Ellis blocks the leg kick.

Ellis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McNutter manages to avoid it.
Ellis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McNutter.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McNutter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ellis napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ellis takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
McNutter tries to score with some ground and pound. Ellis controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

McNutter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
