Keizo Sawaki has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawaki bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bruce with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sawaki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sawaki jabs at Bruce's body.
Bruce misses with a kick to the body
and Sawaki counters with a left to the body.
Sawaki lands a jab to the nose.
Bruce tries for a takedown but Sawaki circles away easily

and Sawaki counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Sawaki wants to control from the top but Bruce keeps moving.
Bruce tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bruce is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sawaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bruce swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sawaki scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Bruce can't keep his opponent in guard - Sawaki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Sawaki thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
