Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lao Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrestling Dummy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Lao Kong has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lao Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wrestling Dummy!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dummy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kong wants to get back to full guard.

Kong looking for submissions off his back.
Dummy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dummy is thwarting Kong's attempts to control the position.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wrestling Dummy was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Kong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dummy, pushing him back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kong.
Dummy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kong pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Dummy turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Dummy wants to control but Kong is keeping him busy.
Kong wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Kong regains half guard.
Dummy wants to control but Kong is keeping him busy.

Kong looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Dummy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kong keeps working.
Dummy content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Kong wants to control but Dummy is keeping busy.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kong looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Wrestling Dummy.
Dummy shoots in for a double leg but Kong sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kong scores with a decent looking hook.

Dummy dives in and scores a takedown into Kong's guard.

Kong is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dummy is aware though and is defending well.
Dummy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kong can't keep his opponent in guard - Dummy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kong is pressing down on Dummy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Kong looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dummy wanted to stand there but Kong had control of the position.
Dummy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dummy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kong swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kong manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Dummy tries to lock up and control but Kong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dummy has given up his back. Will we see Kong going for some submissions?
Dummy wants to escape the position.
Kong tries to get the hooks in deep but Dummy pushed the leg off.
Kong is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kong is persistently looking for the submission but Dummy is defending it well.
Kong is looking to control Dummy but Dummy is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Dummy trying to control the hands but Kong won't let him.
Kong trying to control momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lao Kong will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dummy throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kong stuffs the takedown attempt from Dummy. Dummy gets slowly back to his feet.

Lao Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wrestling Dummy.
Kong misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kong's corner calls for a 1-2. Kong obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Kong lands with an uppercut that bounces Dummy off the cage and back into rage.
Lao Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Horrible takedown by Dummy or perhaps it was just good defense by Kong which made him look bad.
Kong lands a lovely overhand right.
Dummy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dummy there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kong lands with a nice combination. Dummy backs away looking to recover.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dummy drops his hands momentarily and Kong takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Dummy feints and as Kong raises his hands in defense, Dummy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dummy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dummy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dummy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dummy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Dummy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wrestling Dummy has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dummy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Dummy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Kong is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dummy tries to control but Kong wriggling away.
Dummy sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Dummy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dummy wants to control the action but instead Kong gets a body lock and reverses into Dummy's guard! Nice work!

Kong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dummy pulls Kong in close to his closed guard and prevents Kong from doing any damage or advancing position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kong looking to pass the guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Wrestling Dummy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dummy circles away quickly and effectively.

Dummy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dummy moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Dummy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kong keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lao Kong will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Kong lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dummy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dummy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kong on his heels. He'll look to pass Kong's guard now, I'm sure.
Kong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dummy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dummy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Kong pushes a forearm under Dummy's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dummy is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lao Kong!
