Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Capone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Al Capone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Stone!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stone.
Capone moves into range and connects with a jab.
Capone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Stone counters by clinching up.
Capone looking for a takedown.

Stone has hold of one of Capone's legs. Capone is fighting the takedown attempt but Stone gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Stone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Capone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stone has managed to get both his arms back between Capone's legs - danger averted.

Stone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Capone dives on top into guard.

Capone drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Capone has Stone in his guard.

Capone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Capone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Capone is keeping the position for now.

Stone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Capone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stone, into his guard.

Stone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Stone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Capone defends well.
Stone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Capone thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Capone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Stone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Capone has gone for a leg lock! Stone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Capone's guard.

Stone drops back looking for a leg! Capone is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Capone manages to kick Stone off! Stone jumps back into Capone's guard.

Stone thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Capone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stone dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Stone will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stone wants to land a leg kick but Capone is out of range.
No joy there for Capone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Capone enables Stone to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Capone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Capone working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Stone has passed into half guard!
Stone tries to pass the half guard into mount. Capone knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stone seems to be looking for submissions.

Stone in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Capone tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Stone!
