Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Gates of Love kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Head stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Head in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tyler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Head slips nicely into half guard.

Head has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Randy Tyler.
