Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Dreamie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thissim sux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). sux has chosen we ready as his entrance music. Rick Dreamie had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dreamie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. sux sprawls well initially but Dreamie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dreamie postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for sux to stand up.
sux fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dreamie shoots for a takedown but sux saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dreamie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
sux tries to get to full guard but Dreamie has control of the leg.

Dreamie decides to stand and escape the position.
sux throws a right hand that Dreamie ducks under and follows up with a left that Dreamie also avoids with ease.
Dreamie misses with a few strikes there.
sux should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
sux will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

sux is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dreamie has managed to escape the submission attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

sux has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dreamie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dreamie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
