Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Ho!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ho fails with a takedown attempt.
Smith misses with a combination
and Ho counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ho is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control.
Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Smith wants to stand but Ho is controlling the position.
Ho is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ho's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Smith trying to strike off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ho throws a big right hand that misses.
Ho throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Smith wants to stand but Ho is controlling the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ho scoring with some ground and pound.
Ho trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ho trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ho passes into half guard.
Ho maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Smith could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ho has cracked it and Smith is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ho!
