Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, tom Watson!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Watson as Dunn shoots in.
Dunn fails in his attempt to clinch.

Watson misses with a takedown

and Dunn counters by clinching up.
Dunn is looking to control Watson's arms but Watson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dunn has his back to the cage.
Watson tries to pull guard but Dunn holds him up against the cage and eventually Watson drops back down to his feet.
Don Dunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of tom Watson.

Dunn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dunn is looking for a sweep. Watson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. tom Watson was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Dunn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Watson quickly recovers to half guard.
Watson pushes Dunn off looking to stand but Dunn dives back in and keeps control.
Dunn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Dunn is pressing down on Watson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Watson is holding on for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Don Dunn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Watson closes the distance looking to clinch

and Dunn counters with a takedown into side control.
Dunn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Watson is not content to let Dunn control the position.
Dunn tries to advance to mount but can't.

Dunn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Watson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Dunn tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Watson is able to avoid easily.
Dunn keeps the fight on the outside.
Dunn stuffs the takedown attempt from Watson. Watson gets slowly back to his feet.
Dunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Watson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dunn somewhat.
Dunn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Dunn counters with a series of strikes. Watson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Watson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dunn is fending him off so far but Watson persists. Nope, Dunn circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunn controls Watson momentarily but Watson frees himself.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Watson wants to control from the top but Dunn keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dunn shoots in for a takedown but Watson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Watson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A close second round but tom Watson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Dunn shoots in for a double leg but Watson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Watson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watson wants to pass the guard but Dunn is keeping the position.

Dunn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dunn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Watson manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Don Dunn just wasn't active enough.

A slapping body kick lands there for Dunn.
Watson tries for a takedown but Dunn circles away easily

and Dunn counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Watson's guard now.
Don Dunn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Watson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
