The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura fails with the takedown.
Nakamura is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vanchugov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Vanchugov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nakamura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vanchugov has managed to get both his arms back between Nakamura's legs - danger averted.
Nakamura has momentary wrist control but Vanchugov slips an elbow through the middle.
Vanchugov pushes down on Nakamura's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Vanchugov works his foot free and advances to mount.
Nakamura is in a horrible position here. Vanchugov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Vanchugov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nakamura's face.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
