Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Robinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodimus Prime!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson fails with a takedown attempt.
Rodimus Prime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prime tries for a takedown but Robinson circles away easily
and Robinson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Prime looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Robinson is fending him off so far but Prime persists. Nope, Robinson circles away and we're back to standing.

Prime throws a strike but Robinson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Prime trying to keep a closed guard but Robinson is proving a slippery customer.
Robinson wants to control from the top but Prime keeps moving.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Robinson tries to stand but Prime is controlling from the bottom.

Prime scrambles and gets back to his feet.
No luck for Prime with that takedown attempt.
Josh Robinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodimus Prime.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Prime tries to clinch but Robinson is having none of it.
Robinson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Prime's head.

and Robinson counters with an inside leg kick.
Robinson throws a head kick but Prime moves out of range.
Robinson tries for a takedown but Prime sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Robinson swats away the attempt to clinch by Prime.
Prime wants to clinch up but Robinson keeps it at a distance.
Prime walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Robinson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Robinson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Prime pushes Robinson off and gets back to his feet.
Robinson is breathing heavily.
Robinson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Prime sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Robinson somewhat.
Prime tries for a takedown but Robinson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Robinson avoids the head kick by Prime.
Prime connects with a body shot that sends Robinson's belly button to the back.
Prime shoots in but Robinson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Robinson counters with a single leg into guard. Prime didn't expect that.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Prime looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robinson is one step ahead there.
Prime pulls Robinson in close to his closed guard and prevents Robinson from doing any damage or advancing position.
Robinson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Prime not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Robinson wants to stand but Prime is controlling his posture from full guard.
Prime is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Robinson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Prime stuns Robinson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Prime looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Prime tries to clinch but Robinson moves out of range.

Prime drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prime content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Prime seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Prime has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Prime is pushing down on Robinson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Robinson is fighting to maintain full guard but Prime has managed to sneak the leg through.

Prime seems to be looking for submissions.

Prime gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Prime doesn't manage to clinch there - Robinson circles away.
Robinson connects with a jab.
Robinson tries for a takedown but Prime circles away easily
and Prime counters with a big head kick but Robinson shrugs it off.
Prime fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A slapping leg kick lands for Robinson.

Prime shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Robinson's guard.

Robinson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Prime is aware though and is defending well.

Prime stands up from Robinson's guard - Prime perhaps looking for a knockout.

Prime dives in and grabs Robinson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Robinson pushes down on Prime's head and hops out.
Robinson fails to land the takedown.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Robinson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Prime counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Robinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Robinson is trying to improve his position.
Prime slows the pace down.

Robinson tries to escape but Prime is in control.

Prime decides to stand back up. Prime steps back and let's Robinson get back to his feet.
Prime has a takedown stuffed.

Prime fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Robinson to the ground. Prime is now in Robinson's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Robinson wants to improve his position but instead Prime has moved into half guard.
Prime content to control rather than advance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Robinson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Prime has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodimus Prime showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Prime fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Prime leaves Robinson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Prime gets a clinch.
Robinson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Prime avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Prime breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Prime shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Robinson but Robinson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Robinson counters with a head kick. That will keep Prime thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Robinson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Prime pinned against the cage. Prime gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Prime has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Robinson regains guard immediately.

Robinson is working an open guard so Prime takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Prime closes the distance and clinches up with Robinson, looking for a takedown. Prime pushes Robinson against the cage but Robinson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Prime ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Prime no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Prime kicks Robinson off and gets to his feet.
Prime misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice takedown defense from Prime. No joy for Robinson on that attempt.

Prime is thwarting Robinson's attempts to control the position.

Prime frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Robinson tries to hold on but Prime postures up.
Prime punishing his opponent with strikes.
Prime looking to control and managing it successfully.
Prime throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Prime controlling from the full mount.
Prime throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Prime content just to control the position here.
Robinson is desperately trying to improve his position but Prime has a good base and remains in mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rodimus Prime comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Prime has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
