Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Japa Kaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Its time for WAR!!!-ll cool j. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as David Knox enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Knox!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Knox.
Kaka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Knox sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Japa Kaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaka looks to land a body kick but Knox moved away.
Kaka misses with a few strikes there.
Kaka lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kaka stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knox.
Kaka throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Knox counters with a slapping leg kick.
Kaka throws a poor cross that misses
and Knox counters with a thumping low kick.

Kaka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Kaka counters with a good low kick that Knox was not able to check.

and Kaka counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Knox thows a leg kick but Kaka checks it
and Kaka counters with a right hand to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kaka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knox manages to avoid it.
Knox throws a leg kick
and Kaka counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Knox doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Knox misses with a low kick as Kaka jumps back.
Knox is looking to score with low kicks.
Kaka moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Knox holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kaka.
Knox fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Knox has Kaka pressed against the ropes, preventing Kaka from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Kaka is trying to break free.
Knox trying to stall but Kaka improves his position.
Knox slows down the pace here.
Kaka is trying to break the clinch but Knox is controlling him.
Knox doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Knox throws an elbow but misses.
Kaka wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Knox has him pressed against the ropes.

Kaka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knox on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kaka. Knox does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kaka checks the leg kick nicely there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Knox swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Knox moves out of range as Kaka strikes.
Kaka looks to land a right hand but Knox moved out of range.
Knox tests Kaka's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kaka misses with a left hand
and Knox counters with an outside leg kick.
Knox is looking to score with low kicks.
Kaka is looking to land body kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Japa Kaka dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Knox keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kaka works Knox's body with a nice hook.
Knox takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kaka throws the left hand but Knox avoids the punch easily.

and Kaka counters with a right hand to the body.

and Knox counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Knox ducks under a wild hook from Kaka.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Knox in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Nice uppercut lands for Kaka. That snapped Knox's head back.
Knox motions for Kaka to come forward. Knox throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Knox closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Kaka throws a body punch but Knox moves out of range.
Knox chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Knox lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

letting Knox counter with a right hand.
Knox throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kaka moves out of range of the strikes.
Kaka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kaka throws an off balance right hand
and Knox counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Knox tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kaka blocks the body kick.
Kaka misses with a hook
and Knox counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Kaka misses with a right hand
and Knox counters with a good low kick that Kaka was not able to check.
Knox walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Knox throws a head kick but Kaka moves out of range.
Knox throws out a leg kick but Kaka moves out of range and Knox only half commits.

and Knox counters with an inside leg kick.
Kaka thows a body shot but no joy.
Knox throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kaka counters with a stiff right hand.
An inside leg kick lands from Knox.
Knox cracks the inside of Kaka's front leg.
Knox lands a leg kick that knocks Kaka off balance momentarily.
Kaka throws out a loose jab but Knox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kaka throws a right hand that misses
and Knox counters with a big head kick but Kaka shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Knox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

and Knox makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Knox counters with a big head kick but Kaka shrugs it off.

Knox tries a low kick but Kaka avoids it.
Japa Kaka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Knox wants to slow Kaka down by chopping away at his legs.
Kaka does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kaka checks a leg kick.
Kaka tries to land a front kick but Knox steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kaka misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kaka throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Knox counters with a slapping leg kick.
Knox fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kaka checks it well.
Kaka misses with a right hand

and Knox moves into the clinch.
Kaka tries to break the clinch but Knox is controlling the position.
Knox lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kaka wants to get back to striking at distance but Knox won't allow it.
A short body shot lands from Knox as the two fighters clinch.
Knox misses with a punch on the inside.
Knox pushes Kaka back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Kaka tries to break the clinch but Knox is controlling the position.
Kaka is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Knox is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kaka is keeping busy.
Knox taking a breather.
Kaka blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Knox is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kaka is trying to break the clinch but Knox is controlling him.
A frustrated look appears on Kaka's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Knox digs a right hand into Kaka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kaka's gas tank.

A bit of stalling here from Knox.

Kaka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kaka misses with a hook
and Knox counters with a nice leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Knox.
Kaka swings widly with a right hand
and Knox counters with a body kick that stops Kaka in his tracks momentarily.
Knox throws a nice inside leg kick.
Knox throws a head kick that misses.
Kaka tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A bone on bone clash there as Kaka blocks the leg kick.
Knox has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Kaka scores with a hook.
Kaka throws a right hand that misses
and Knox counters with a low kick, right behind Kaka 's knee.
Knox fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kaka throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Knox counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Kaka throws a low kick but Knox avoids it.
Knox lands with a thumping leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Knox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Knox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
