Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Race (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges StPierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Race!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges StPierre!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

StPierre shoots in and bounces Race off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Race looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
StPierre is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

StPierre is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
StPierre has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Race is proving hard to escape from.
StPierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Race is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
StPierre might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Race kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
StPierre wanted to stand there but Race had control of the position.
Race wants to sweep here but StPierre controlling him for the moment.

StPierre thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Race tries to land a sweep but no joy.
StPierre working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
StPierre won't allow Race to sweep him here.

Race throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
StPierre would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Race tries to land a sweep but no joy.
StPierre postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
StPierre is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Race on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Race tries to get out of the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
StPierre wants to control from the top but Race keeps moving.
StPierre cracks Race with a solid left hand.

StPierre avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
StPierre wanted to stand there but Race had control of the position.
StPierre won't allow Race to sweep him here.

Race is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Race is looking for a triangle but StPierre pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

StPierre got a little sloppy there for a moment and Race has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, StPierre has managed to get both his arms back between Race's legs - danger averted.
StPierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Race is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells StPierre's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

StPierre avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
StPierre tries to free his leg and advance position but Race is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

StPierre got a little sloppy there for a moment and Race has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, StPierre has managed to get both his arms back between Race's legs - danger averted.
StPierre cracks Race with a solid left hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
StPierre wants to get up but he can't break Race's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Race has his feet on StPierre's thighs here. He's pushed StPierre off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! StPierre screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
