Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Guns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kappi Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guns comes to the ring accompanied by diamonds and guns. Bateman has chosen 20th century boy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bateman wants it to stay on the feet.
Guns fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Guns tries to clinch but Bateman moves out of range.
That kick from Bateman tenderised Guns's leg. Guns is trying to keep his angry face on.

Guns has gone for a leg lock! Bateman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Guns's guard.

Bateman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guns has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bateman has managed to get both his arms back between Guns's legs - danger averted.

Guns escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bateman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Guns drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bateman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bateman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bateman!
Bateman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Guns is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bateman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
