Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boy's entrance music is Everclear - The BOYs are back in town. A fine choice. Kobayashi has chosen HBO Boxing 24/7 Original Theme as his entrance music. Ronny Boy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 3, fighting out of London, Ronny Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Hiro Kobayashi!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kobayashi's guard.
Boy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Boy being controlled here momentarily.
Boy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kobayashi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Boy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Boy is working hard here to advance position.
Kobayashi avoids the attempt from Boy to control.
Kobayashi scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Kobayashi throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Kobayashi looking to control but Boy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Boy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kobayashi working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Boy slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
Boy is not content to let Kobayashi control the position.
Boy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boy.
Kobayashi looking to sit in guard and control but Boy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kobayashi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boy controls the pace.

Boy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kobayashi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kobayashi has escaped and now he's on top!
Kobayashi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kobayashi tries to free his leg and advance position but Boy is retaining full guard.
Kobayashi throws and elbow that misses. Boy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kobayashi's guard. Nice move by Boy!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kobayashi pulls Boy in close to prevent any damage.

Kobayashi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boy manages to get himself to full guard.
Kobayashi wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving.

Boy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kobayashi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kobayashi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kobayashi distracts Boy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kobayashi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kobayashi is looking to work some ground and pound but Boy has wrist control.
Boy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boy keeping moving, preventing Kobayashi from controlling successfully.
Kobayashi cracks Boy with a solid left hand.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boy holds on and takes a little breather.
Kobayashi looking to sit in guard and control but Boy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hiro Kobayashi will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kobayashi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Boy counters with a shoot takedown. Kobayashi fights it but they end up in guard.
Kobayashi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kobayashi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boy wants to control from the top but Kobayashi keeps moving.
Boy tries to free his leg and advance position but Kobayashi is retaining full guard.
Boy is looking to work some ground and pound but Kobayashi has wrist control.
Boy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kobayashi's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kobayashi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Boy's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boy is on top in guard.

Kobayashi is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Boy rolls with it to try and escape but Kobayashi cranks on the arm and Boy is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
