The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Cool sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perez somewhat.

Perez shoots in and gets a takedown into The Cool's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The Cool bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perez's guard.
Perez wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and The Cool is now in half guard.

The Cool is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Perez is just riding it out for now. The Cool eventually gives up the hold.

The Cool stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Perez seems keen to control The Cool's posture.

Perez is working for a rear naked choke. The Cool is not defending it well and Perez has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! The Cool refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of The Cool's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
