The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Benitez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Acker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Benitez on the side of the head.

Benitez wants the takedown. Acker is fighting it off but Benitez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Acker's guard against the cage.

Benitez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Acker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Acker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Acker!

Acker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Benitezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Acker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
